(Please forgive if this has been asked/answered elsewhere) I am curious if anyone knows if there is a way to pause while drawing, without closing the app? Pulling up the color wheel doesn't seem to pause, but what about opening the activity thread? I haven't played my own drawings to see if I could tell, and watching others', it's impossible to know if someone went to make a sandwich or if the app is just hanging, during a long pause. I take a long time to draw usually, so I'd love to know a way to keep long periods of nothing-happening-ness out of playback.

I have always thought that those blank periods were my fault i.e. I thought it was my eyes not picking up the subtle changes being made. Hummm I am really curious now!

What I do is before I leave to make lunch or what not, I make a line on the side of my drawing, just a random line, then get up to do whatever for however long, then when I come back after all the time (sometimes 12 hours) I undo the line and continue on with my drawing and the playback is flawless and fluid.
Keep in mind that as its loading the rest of the playback it slows down then as well.

Good idea Heap. I've not noticed if there is a pause in playback or not. I would suggest watching playback from the person's web profile, notch e app. Each app user has a web page. Type- www.drawquest.com/usernameFor instance mine is www.drawquest.com/MeanGeriPlayback goes much quicker.

I'll try it, thanks!

Pardon my stupidity but I don't understand why drawing a line, leaving and then undoing the line helps?

Because the time will start waiting after the line is drawn, but once you undo it, the time will act as though nothing happened as far as waiting. For example you draw a few lines and there is a second between each line..
Line-second-line-second-line.. Etc. however if you have 10 hours between a line so it's line-second-line-second-line-hours. And then you undo the line, it will act like the hours never happened.

Ohhhh! Thanks Heapster. And I forgot to put you on my truck drawing the second time I drew it. It was there the first time and then I lost my drawing after it froze up. So when I drew it again I added a few of my fave artists names to the truck. You are one so sorry I forgot the second time. I was rushed but you'll have another shout out coming. XO
