I'm having quite a few problems myself: did any of u have problems with your undo button? Most of the time I have to wait a long time before anything gets undone....I'm just sitting there, waiting… Also, just recently it started happening, every now and then, when I'd click the undo button ONCE, an entire part of my drawing just vanishes...I'd click the redo button hoping to get that PART back but it doesn't come back..AT ALL Then, sometimes when I draw after undoing or recolorselecting then, my line doesn't curve right it' glitchy... The next line I draw moves fine though...

The next line I draw moves fine though... Alzheimer129 answered this and more in DQ Drawing Tips page 3: Echidnaq mentioned this before, but I just want to reiterate the point he made earlier, due to an issue I was having. A DQ staffer did an awesome job explaining things to me so that I could understand them. I recently had an issue where I couldn't upload a drawing and it kept crashing. I'll try to explain things here with the least amount of technical mumbo jumbo. When we draw, each finger/stylus stroke counts as data (for lack of a better term). The more you draw, the bigger the file gets, even when you are "erasing" a mistake. When I say erasing, I mean using the same color of the background to fix a mistake, I very rarely use the eraser tool because of the lag that it causes. When I do use the eraser or undo, the next stroke will lag or be jumpy, I will make a mark in an unused area, then use the white pen or marker to cover up that mark, so that my intended stroke will work where I want it to. Now, getting back to the data thing, the more finger/stylus strikes, the bigger the file. If you spend 4 hours on one drawing, chances are, the file might be too big to upload, especially if you draw like me. I have a tendency to keep drawing over and over one specific area, then drawing over that with the white until I get the desired shape or image I'm trying to achieve. I draw in an iPad mini, and they were surprised that I was having this issue because it is more common in older iPads. They told me to force close all other apps, if that doesn't work, force close DQ, if that doesn't work, reboot your iPad (at this point, it is possible you might lose your drawing), if that doesn't work, log out and back in to DQ ( you will definitely lose your drawing here) and last, but not least, delete the app then reinstall it. I got lucky, and it uploaded before I lost my drawing. Just keep trying. If you are stuck in the vicious cycle of upload, crash, upload, crash... you can get back to DQ by, while in the drawing, checking your activity feed and selecting any drawing in the feed and you will get a message that reads something like "Are you sure you want to leave? You will lose all your progress" with yes and no button selections. You will lose your drawing, but you won't have to log out/log in. Activity feed tip. This is something I've been experimenting with for quite a while. Start a quest, draw a line so that the drawing is active, select the icon in the upper left corner, and it shows the activity feed, go back to the drawing by selecting an area on the right side of the screen. As long as the drawing is open, you should be able to keep the feed updating while you are away from your iPad. I usually do this after I finish a drawing so I don't miss any new updates. I am still experimenting on this, so hopefully, it will always work. ALWAYS force close all apps and reboot your iPad before taking on any large drawings. I'm going to make it a habit before any quest. I hope this helps anyone having these issues, and please, if anyone else is trying the activity feed experiment, please post your findings.

iflowerbed2: sounds like your cache (local memory usage) is getting too big... try to sign out and login again to DQ. Note that after doing this, you'll only see the latest 50 drawings, until DQ update the app to give us the ability to look at our older drawings. Thanks, leosketchy. I think I've tried that because it does sometimes crash on me when I've gone to a different app or to my settings, then I have to open DQ again. I wonder if it is an iPad 2 problem as I know people with newer versions who don't have the same issues. It isn't older drawings that I can't access, it simply takes forever to load ANY profile! Once I do open a profile, click on drawing and then go back to that profile, my screen freezes again while the images reload. I can wait 5 mins. before my screen unfreezes. Frustrating.

I think ur right iFlowerbed2 about it possibly being an iPad2 problem cause I've got an iPad2 and I sure get long loading waits and plenty of crashes....But, hopefully it gets fixed....

Thnx a lot blackrose2890!!! Wouldn't have seen that myself.....I'm new on the meetup boards. Welcome to the DQ boards! :3 I try not to use undo much anymore especially when there's a lot on the drawing area already, the apps gets wonky so I preferred the white pen to "erase" areas than the eraser or undo. (Even if it makes the file size of the drawing bigger) And yeah, sometimes when you use undo too much, some parts disappear or weird lines suddenly pop out and wreck the drawing. It's really annoying. what I do is force-quit all apps then log in to DQ before I draw to make sure no other app is using the iPad's processors thing. (For faster performance and less annoying lags)

Yes, Abbyfizz, me too. Can't afford a new iPad! I haven't tried Alzheimer's tip re rebooting the iPad itself. When things get really wonky that login/logout doesn't do the trick, you can try rebooting the iPad. Log out, Force quit all apps, reboot, open and log in to DQ. It works for me and I'm using iPad2. You may do this before drawing a quest. (Please don't do this if you have a drawing you're currently working on... I can't guarantee you can retrieve it. I tried it once, it worked. I tried it again, I lost the doodle. It's a very big risk)

I'm having quite a few bugs issues -
1) Now i get kicked out while I'm drawing when I come back drawing is gone... 2) I have drawings that hasn't uploaded... 3) I do not get to see lots of dqers drawing that I follow... 4) Sometimes I can not star DQ members drawing because it does not load... 5) I sometimes get kicked off while starring drawings... 6) Sometimes I star the dqers drawing, next time i look they are not starred... 7) Lines doesn't curve comes out straight... Thanks alzheimer129 for taking the time to explain about the strokes and data issue that echidnaq mentioned.
Also want to take this opportunity to thank alzheimer129 for being one of the dq member always being there for me.

My response are in boldface I'm having quite a few bugs issues - 1) Now i get kicked out while I'm drawing when I come back drawing is gone... 2) I have drawings that hasn't uploaded... --the file may have been too big that DQ app is having problems uploading it (internet connection can be a problem too)3) I do not get to see lots of dqers drawing that I follow... --yep, this wonky thing, i hope DQ fixes this soon4) Sometimes I can not star DQ members drawing because it does not load... --answers for 3,4,5,6: you may try to log out, forcequit app, login again. Mostly this method works.5) I sometimes get kicked off while starring drawings... 6) Sometimes I star the dqers drawing, next time i look they are not starred... 7) Lines doesn't curve comes out straight... --if you used undo, before drawing again, touch another area with the same color with your currently used pen so the next swipe won't lag at allThanks alzheimer129 for taking the time to explain about the strokes and data issue that echidnaq mentioned. Also want to take this opportunity to thank alzheimer129 for being one of the dq member always being there for me. Some items I don't know the answer. hopefully, the other DQers can help out with that, or maybe the answers are on other forum threads. I remember alzheimer posted a forum reply somewhere about DQ file size and how each pen stroke makes the drawing file bigger, which makes things wonky and may result in upload fail. See also echidnaQ's related post somewhere here in this forum. (Can't remember the exact thread, sorry) What we do is before we draw something is log out, force quit ALL apps, then open DQ and log in. Sometimes an iPad reboot works too. Please don't reboot the iPad if you have a WIP (work in progress) drawing. It might be deleted. (High risk)

I want to follow when I see a nice drawing, but waiting waiting waiting for the profile to load discourages me. I'd go get a cup of coffee while waiting waiting waiting for the profile to load but my IPad times out. This happens even when I just open DQ and have nothing else running.

Same thing happens to me . . . except I grab a tea! It usually takes a good 5 mins. for a large profile to load. While some images appear, my screen is frozen until the all images load. This happens again after viewing one drawing and I return to the main profile page. At that point, I log out of DQ and log on again. Rebooting the iPad changes nada.

I've had a few problems that I've never had before. The first being that while uploading my drawing, the app crashed and I lost it, in the uploading process! Now I've had it crash while drawing, while browsing profiles and while loading galleries for quests but never while uploading it. Now I saw some people say that time is data or so to speak, but the drawing in question was one of my short half hour ones nothing like the usual 2 hour drawings I usually do. I wasn't as upset as I would have been if it had taken me longer. Has anyone else had this happen?
Another problem I've had is it randomly logging me out. Never while drawing (yet) but sometimes I'll be browsing, leave the app to go to another, say going to iTunes to change my jams then coming back to keep browsing, and I'm just logged off! When I log back in, my activity is cleared and it try's to teach me how to use drawquest again. Now, my profile is fine and everything which was my first worry, and the worst thing that's happened is my activity being cleared but I still thing this would qualify as a bug.

Oh, I just drew a quest and as I was putting on the finishing touches, the ap crashed. Then it brought my picture up, but it was frozen. Then it crashed again. Then it brought up a blank screen. Then I closed and reopened the ap. Then it brought my picture up. Then it crashed. It keeps crashing. Oh, I've got the Drawquest blues....
