I know it's not really DQ related. But does anyone know I'd a task manager app? As in an app that will let you force quite other apps so they aren't constantly running?
If not, do you know how to do this without restarting your iPad?

double tap the home button. All running apps are there. Press and hold until the apps wiggle and X appears. Close all apps you want to close. Press home button once to return to home screen.
If your gesture touch is enabled. Use 4 fingers and swipe upwards. Press and hold app until they start to wiggle and press X to force quit the apps. Swipe down with 1 finger to return to home screen.
For assistive touch. (The floating square button that opens a pie menu for other functions) press the square assistive touch button on your screen, press devices, press more, press multitask. Press and hold until apps wiggle and X appears. Close all apps by pressing X. Then Return to home screen.
Sorry. Not X but a red - will appear while the app wiggles.. Just tap that to close apps

Try the iPhone app by XCool Apps, called AppSwitch (link leads to the iTunes Store).

heap241sorry i forgot to explain well that once you double tap a taskbar opens at the bottom of your screen and all running apps are there. That's where you force quit.
i'm glad it helped. :3
I don't know if it's a mere psychological thing or if it really works but for me I have less problems with DQ when every other app is closed too. like nothing else is sharing the iPad memory or something. Hehehe!

Has anyone tried killing apps since the update? I can't figure out how to do it! The home screen thing isn't working.

On ios7 you double tap home button, as before, but instead of open apps icons, you get full screenshots of the opened apps. Simply pull the screenshots up to the top and it will close. If you are handy, you can even close two at a time, pulling with two fingers.
