Due to the number of images we post here at DQMU, we were rapidly running out of free storage space. So effective immediately images will be hosted free by postimage.org. Here are the new instructions for posting images: ***Note you do not need to login or register with postimage.org**** Select "Add image to post" in the upper left hand corner of the window (see illustration below) 1. Select "computer" or "web" --in most cases you will select "computer" 2. Click "browse" to upload your selected image 3. Resize photo from the drop down menu select "640x480 (for message boards) 4. Make sure your image is "FAMILY safe" 5. Click "Upload it" *** Note: You will not see your image until after you post your comment***    |

Thanks, K3LLI. It's been so fabulous to see everyone's postings here on the forum because you can see drawings grouped by subquests. Less work than scanning the galleries and finding that you've missed some. Great for those of us not on twitter.

I followed the new instructions but I can't get an image to post. I tried to upload from my photo library and again from the web. Both times it said it uploaded, but when it directed back to the post, the urls didn't show up and neither did the images in the published post. Am I doing something wrong?

Well, if you're following the instructions you're not doing anything wrong. Are you trying to post from your iPad or computer? From my iPad. That's probably why... I can try to post from a computer tomorrow, and see if that works better. |

Yes it is very weird. Yesterday I used the new "add image to post" and it's via iPad. It was working since I was able to add a photo at "kercal's mrchris nose SQ". But today I tried to add a photo via that new image posting method. However, when the image uploads, it says it's upoaded, yet i get redirected to home page of DQ meetup instead of the current thread I was replying. The image nowhere to be found. I retried but same results, the image hosting service would say 'uploaded' but it would not work. It would redirect me to home page of dq meetup and my supposed to be thread reply is lost

i am experiencing the same problem. Now I just went straight to the website url of postimage and uploaded there, then copied the BBcode for forums. Kinda long method, but hey... For the sake of NOT consuming the free space here on forums. It's worth it. :3
May I ask how much free space is left? Just curious 
All I know is most of our uploads here were in original size, we never thought of resizing it into smaller 640x480 size. Eeek~

We've used 170 of 200mb. I'm sorry you guys are having issues. I'll contact the plugin developer and see what they say. In the meantime if any of you have personal image hosting accounts like from photobucket or tinypic, Etc, try using those to host and link your photos. If you don't have an image hosting site, the ones I mentioned are free if you're interested.

Now i think about all the uploads we did with each pic 1000+ x 1000+ pixels. (And for newer ipads, the 2000+ pixels each )

I think that was what I was supposed to do... Hopefully it doesn't take up space on the boards.
