Since last night, my activity feed is cut short to about 20 items. And because the following list is no longer alphabetical = unusable and cut short as we'll for me, it is nearly impossible for me now to follow people. Only the explore search works, for the names I remember that is so this is very painful here. It it is also harder and harder to log into DQ. It sometimes takes me 3 attempts to do it (connection error). I was told by DQ that the followings list is on purpose sort by date, this is a new feature. (I do not like it nor the tiny light gray fonts that are a killer for my bad eyes.) Maybe it is time to go back to charcoal for a while then. That never fails to connect

Yeah, for a while there when I want on dq because of a lack or time and stylus, I was doing a lot of on paper art.
Dq isn't the same as it used to be.. I still like it, but not as much as when I first downloaded it over a year ago. It seems like they are trying too hard to feed the kids of dq and not the artists of dq.
Despite how it sounds though, I'll continue to work with it when I have the time.

Totally agree with your comments Lamijavin and Heap. I was away for a few days so wasn't drawing or even looking at drawings. I came back to a totally unmanageable activity feed. I just don't have the time to deal with it any more. I don't have an IPhone so it's a question of trying to trawl through hundreds of drawings looking for my followers. DQ used to be a delight, I used to look forward to drawing and looking at other people's work. Not any more, it's now like a task that needs completing daily, the actual trawling through the list takes longer than drawing! So I'm going to give it a rest for awhile, go back to my pastels, there's no interaction on pastels, but no stress either. DQ is not what it was and seems to have lost it's purpose of promoting creativity and learning from others. It seems to me it's being used by hundreds of kids on their iPhones starring and following willy nilly and creating huge problems. I will look at it again after the next update to see if it's improved meanwhile the activity list will no doubt increase to an even greater length and crash the system yet again.

Hi Deedee,
If you work in pastels, I'd like to see your work. My husband, Don, is a pastel artist too. His work can be found at www.doncoons.com We have been on the art fair circuit since 1988. It's a lot of travel and even more work! But it was fun and it used to be quite productive. Sales got so slow, and we got old enough, that travel for no money wasn't worth it. So now we've tried to cut back to 2 or 3 shows a year.
Anyhoo, if any of your pastels are on the web it would be fun to see how you use them. It's an interesting medium. There are so many ways to approach it. And everyone seems to settle into their own style.
Happy Spring, Kathy

I agree. It's hard to follow my followers but u do manage to better on my iPhone. The activity feed itakes so long that I give up a lot of the time. I also don't like the quests lately so I've spent more time on SC than DQ. I never thought I'd like SC better but it's kinda happening now. I still connect with my dear friends on twitter and still star my followers and the people I follow but DQ is getting to be more work and less fun. I hope that's not permanent for me. I'm loyal to a fault usually. But I'll always love the community here. That will never change. Regcas

Yes, I agree, the quests lately are uninspired. Hopefully it won't continue to be that way.
