"But Corky did anyone actually count the brush strokes! "
Dee, no one counted the brush strokes, after all the time it took to do the sketch and put in all the numbers for the "Paint by Numbers" crew it just was taking too long to do anymore statistics.

Should have had Sketch Club on this one for stats, mirror images, layers, erasures, they would have loved it! Dee

Hey guys, finally got a response from moot! -- Thanks for the kind note. Unfortunately I don't think there's much the DrawQuest community can do to help out with our situation. It really just boils down to DQ not being viable as a business, and to that end we had to lay off the team in order to reduce operating costs to the bare minimum. With the cash we have left, I think we can continue to pay for the servers for another year or so, and are still exploring other options. But it's very unlikely the app will see any further feature development, and it will more or less remain in stasis. Best, Chris -- And there you have it, we have one year left. Thanks for all your hard work Heap, and I do hope people continue to use the board, all it needs is one post and that usually generates a host of interest and replies. I've noted what Moot said and delighted that DQ will keep running for another year. I'm not sure what his "other options" can be. When he announced the demise of Draw Quest I read all the newspaper articles, both here in the UK and in the US. My understanding is that he tried hard to sell it before the announcement, but had no takers. Apparently he didn't have enough people using it. With the migration to Sketch Club, he now has even fewer people using it . . . so a sale would seem unlikely. However he's quite an entrepreneur so possibly has other ideas in mind. We will watch his space. I guess we'll see what happens, and what another year will bring. I remember a year ago when DQ was brand new and look how much it's grown, maybe if it grows more there is hope for the future. I guess we'll see what happens.
